Terms of Service
By using DistriAI, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Key points: you own your GPU contributions, we own the platform, AI outputs may be inaccurate, tokens have no monetary value.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the DistriAI platform ("Service") at ai.distriai.tech, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old to use DistriAI.
2. Description of Service
DistriAI is a decentralized AI inference platform that allows users to:
- Contribute browser-based GPU compute in exchange for DistriAI tokens
- Use earned tokens to access AI language models hosted via Groq, Google, and OpenAI APIs
- Run local AI inference via WebGPU without data leaving their device
- Participate in a peer-validated distributed compute network
3. User Accounts and Authentication
You may register using Google or GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your session. We are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your credentials. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
4. Token System
Important: DistriAI tokens have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or cryptocurrency. They are utility credits redeemable only within the DistriAI platform for AI model access.
- Tokens are earned by contributing GPU compute to validated network tasks
- Tokens are deducted when using server-side AI models (Groq, Gemini, GPT)
- Local models (Phi-3, TinyLlama) are always free and require no tokens
- Token balances may be reset or adjusted in the event of fraud or abuse
- We reserve the right to modify token earning rates and model costs with 14 days notice
5. GPU Mining and Node Participation
By enabling GPU mining, you agree to:
- Allow your browser to execute AI inference tasks on behalf of other users
- Have your task results validated by other network nodes via SHA-256 consensus
- Accept that fraudulent or inaccurate results may reduce your reputation score or result in temporary bans
- Understand that your GPU compute is contributed voluntarily and may vary based on network demand
You retain full ownership of your device and compute resources. DistriAI does not install any software on your device — all computation runs within your browser sandbox.
6. AI-Generated Content and Limitations
DistriAI provides access to third-party AI language models. You acknowledge that:
- AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or offensive
- AI outputs do not constitute professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.)
- You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content
- DistriAI does not review, endorse, or take responsibility for AI outputs
- Some models are provided by third parties (Groq, Google, OpenAI) and subject to their usage policies
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use DistriAI to:
- Generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content
- Attempt to manipulate the token system, spoof task results, or defraud other users
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attack the platform infrastructure
- Use automated bots to farm tokens
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
8. Intellectual Property
The DistriAI platform, logo, codebase, and design are owned by DistriAI and protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without written permission. Content you input into the AI chat remains yours — we do not claim ownership of your prompts or outputs.
9. AI Transparency and Responsibility
DistriAI uses the following AI systems:
- Local inference: Phi-3 Mini and TinyLlama run entirely on your device via WebGPU. DistriAI has no visibility into these conversations.
- Server-side inference: Llama, Qwen, Kimi, Gemini, and GPT-4o models are accessed via Groq and Google/OpenAI APIs. Your messages are transmitted to these providers under their respective privacy policies.
- Distributed inference: For distributed models, prompts are encrypted end-to-end with AES-256-GCM before being distributed to nodes. Network nodes see only encrypted data.
Automated decisions (reputation scoring, fraud detection, node banning) are based on deterministic algorithms. You may request human review of any automated decision by contacting us.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DistriAI is not liable for:
- Loss of tokens due to platform downtime or bugs
- Inaccurate AI outputs causing harm or loss
- Third-party service failures (Groq, Railway, Cloudflare)
- Unauthorized access to your account
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your token balance is forfeited as tokens have no monetary value.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms. Material changes will be announced in the platform dashboard with 14 days notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law and, where applicable, EU law including GDPR and the AI Act. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Italy, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
